The Art of Sitting Still

Let's talk about sitting still.

Not the kind of sitting still you do when you’re stuck in traffic or waiting for your toast to pop. I’m talking about intentional sitting still. The kind where you stop everything and just…exist for a while.

Sounds easy, right? Spoiler alert: it’s not. Turns out, sitting still is an art form. Your mind doesn’t like it. The moment you try, it starts doing backflips, throwing out reminders about laundry, taxes, or that embarrassing thing you said in 2012.

But here’s the trick: let it. Let your mind do its thing. Don’t fight it. Just sit there, let the thoughts tumble around like clothes in a dryer, and watch. Eventually, they slow down. And in the stillness that follows, you find something pretty amazing: you.

So, carve out a few minutes today. Sit still. No goals, no expectations. Just you and the moment.

Peace, patience, and stillness,
Buddhi
